To gain deeper insights into the needs of various users, we conducted interviews with a diverse group that included event organizers, solopreneurs, and SMEs. These conversations were crucial in identifying common pain points and uncovering specific features that would provide real value to users.
The key takeaways are:

Multiple Item Options: A common request was the ability to offer customers more choice. One user mentioned, “It would be great if I could create multiple item options so my customers can select what they need from the link.”
Personalization: Branding was a priority for many users. As multiple business owner stated that they want to customize the payment link with my logo, colors, and images so it reflects thier brand.
Custom Fields: Several users also wanted more flexibility in data collection. The more technical business owners explained that, “Being able to add custom fields would help me gather extra information from thier customers/users, like delivery details or specific requests.”

I analyzed similar products on the market, such as Paystack Payment Pages and Flutterwave Payment Links, to identify gaps and opportunities for Monnify. Users appreciated no-code tools but often needed better customization and payment tracking features.

Focuse was on making the payment link creation process seamless, ensuring merchants could quickly create, copy, and share payment links directly from the dashboard. The layouts were designed to streamline the process, allowing businesses to generate links efficiently while ensuring all vital details were clearly presented.
The payment link details page included all relevant information, enabling users to review, make informed decisions, and track transactions. We also designed a parallel view for the customer page, allowing customers to see the item details and price, and providing the necessary information to complete the transaction. The customer view featured elements that made it easy for users to identify the page with the business, while still being clean and organised.

The final UI design addressed user problems by reducing cognitive load and delivering a cleaner, more intuitive experience. We improved the customer view by balancing contrast and using a familiar layout, giving users a simpler experience to easily make decisions and complete payments.
